the wilderness experience.

Perfect Day, Saints!

In 2023, God asked me to walk with Him. It was an incredibly intense season. He began correcting so many areas of my life, subjecting me to strict spiritual disciplines and controls. I called it my "Year of Obedience."

I remember praying and asking God what He would call this chapter of my life. His response was clear: "The Wilderness Journey."

I didn’t want to call it a wilderness journey myself. In my old church, all I had ever known about the wilderness for people was that it was a punishment from God for murmuring and complaining. And I didn't complain.

But today, while scrolling through YouTube, I came across a post by The Bondservant of Christ, John Anosike that read:

"There is an inheritance for everyone that is born again, but it will not be allocated unto you until you go the way of the purging of the wilderness."

Seeing those exact words prompted me to finally dig deeper and understand what the wilderness experience is all about.

In my search, I discovered that the "purging of the wilderness" is a mandatory spiritual protocol where God strips away the flesh, worldly desires, and demonic footholds to prepare a believer for divine allocation and glory.

According to Bondservant John Anosike, an individual cannot receive their true spiritual inheritance or be trusted with God's ultimate power without undergoing this deep refinement. It serves three main purposes:

  • A Prison for the Flesh: An uncomfortable season designed to peel away human striving, pride, and personal ambitions so the human spirit can truly become alive and sensitive to God.

  • Protecting God's Glory: A process where God systematically removes hidden flaws, unholy drives, or lingering sins that the enemy could later exploit to bring shame to His glory once you are elevated.

  • Absolute Alignment via Holy Fire: A multi-dimensional cleansing that burns out physical defilement from the body, mental strongholds (like depression, jealousy, or anger) from the soul, and forces the individual's will completely under God's control.

Ultimately, I realized that the purging of the wilderness is not a punishment at all. It is an essential protocol of consecration that qualifies a vessel for the Master’s use.

Stay on course in Jesus Christ, amen?

The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. (Isaiah 40:3-5 KJV)
