repentance.

Hi, brothers and sisters!
Another thing that God corrected me on in 2023 was my understanding of repentance.
He told me that repentance is not true repentance without a turning away.
I asked God to make me understand what He meant with the little Bible knowledge I had then.
He revealed to me the story of the prodigal son. That the son had to physically get up and return home.
God also used the words of John the Baptist to teach me. John looked at the religious leaders and called them a "brood of vipers," asking who warned them to flee from the coming wrath. He boldly told them to "bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance."
Derek Prince explains repentance using two biblical words: metanoia and shuv. The Greek word metanoia means a change of mind, but the Hebrew word shuv means to physically turn around.
True repentance requires both.
Stay on course in Jesus' name, amen?
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (Matthew 7:14 KJV)
