Hi, brothers and sisters!
In 2019, I was surfing YouTube and came across a man who talks to the dead.
He would hold sessions where loved ones are gathered in a spacious room, and he would predict how a loved one died. If he was talking about someone's loved one, they were to stand to receive their final words.
I thought it was a cool gift to have for the kingdom of God. I was thinking about my own grandma who had passed, and how others in my family would want to hear from her.
My Bible knowledge then was nothing to write home about, so it didn’t occur to me that God already has an opinion on the topic.
As soon as I was keen, I felt a demonic presence outside my room, and something telepathically asking me, "Do you want this power?"
I asked God whether I was imagining things, and He told me I was not.
Curiosity got the better of me, and I turned to look, albeit through my fingers over my eyes.
Just at the entrance of the balcony looking into my room, was a tall and well-built black shadow of a man. He asked again, "Do you want this power?"
I turned back around and told God to make the thing leave, because I didn’t want anything to do with the creature. And the evil presence disappeared.
I was led to discover sometime afterwards that necromancy is forbidden by God. Previously, I had only known that the prophet Samuel protested at being summoned.
I understand now that people desperate for power, just like Saul, would turn to any source in order to get it.
It gives me shivers now thinking of people who say they are "hungry" for the things of the world. Because, from my experience, the enemy is more than willing to be that supply.
