Perfect Day, Saints!
Before accepting Christ, I came from a religion whose prophet's words negated the Bible.
My first church, where I stayed for 18 years, taught that Jesus negated Himself.
They claimed that what He revealed while on Earth was temporary law, which was later superseded by the apostles, who brought the absolute, eternal truth of grace.
For example, my church taught that Jesus negated the words He spoke during the Sermon on the Mount the moment He came down the mountain.
Their reasoning was that because no one could keep the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus Christ had to come down to our level.
However, there is nothing hard about the Sermon on the Mount.
In fact, the mental gymnastics and inherent contradictions of hyper-grace are harder to follow. Or at least to a mind not totally captured by the spirit of Antichrist.
