Perfect Day, Saints!
I dreamt in 2023 that I was in my childhood home, looking out the window. The only things in sight were the horizon, an endless expanse of water, and a single barren tree standing without leaves or fruit.
Because I was looking at it strictly through the lens of the grace doctrine, I didn’t understand what it meant. I couldn't even fathom that the tree could have anything to do with me, though my spirit knew it did.
I prayed for an interpretation, but instead of a direct answer, I was given a second dream.
In this next dream in 2023, I was back in the same childhood home, looking out the window at the same barren tree. This time, I went closer to investigate. When I opened the door, I noticed that the water did not enter the house; there was a small one-centimeter gap keeping the water at bay. To my left and right, I saw people busily building dams, preparing for an even greater flood brought on by rain. As I watched them toil expectantly, the rain poured down and completely overwhelmed their dams.
I watched the water rise until it entirely swallowed the barren tree. But after it went completely under, another tree emerged from the deep, as if pushed up by a force from below. This new tree was fully grown, mature, and healthy—bearing abundant leaves and fruit, ready for habitation and consumption.
Later, when Pastor Ola Anosike revealed that the floods capable of overwhelming a house actually symbolize blessings, everything clicked. I could finally accept God’s word that the latter rain had come, and that I am a beneficiary of that latter rain.
