Perfect Day, Saints!
Today, I visited a coffeeshop attached to a wet market for a meal. I just couldn't stop looking at the elderly people there, especially those who were frail or disabled. While I was waiting for my food, I noticed that they couldn’t stop looking at me either.
One of my dreams is to run an old folks' home where the elderly can be safe from abuse.
My role models are two women named Teresa: one is the famous Mother Teresa from India, and the other is Singapore’s own 'Mother Teresa,' Teresa Hsu.
I first learned about her when I was young through the local television show Extraordinary People. When I looked up her biography, I was so touched to discover that she and her sister, Ursula, started the Home for the Aged Sick right here in Singapore.
