Hi, brothers and sisters!

One of the things that God told me about righteousness, is to not take offense.

It is one of the hardest things for me to do because I take offense at being wounded.

Yesterday, a man with a foldable bicycle exclaimed the line to board the bus was too slow, and proceeded to cut the line. The back of my heel connected with one of his bicycle parts.

Thankfully, God specifically told me to switch from slippers to steel-toed sneakers that day.

It was ironic that God was talking to me about writing a blog post about offense, and there I was, getting offended.

What I realised about the process of being offended is that there are two voices encouraging me to do opposite things. Like the devil and angel on the shoulders of cartoon characters, one was giving me suggestions on how to take revenge, while the other was telling me how to overcome.

I chose to tune out the voice giving evil instructions, and the matter became smaller and smaller until it was something to just observe.
